How to sync Blackberry With Thunderbird

Do you want to sync your Blackberry phone with Thunderbird email client? If so then let me tell you that in this post I am going to teach you how to do so. To begin with the tutorial let me first brief you about what exactly is Thunderbird.

What is Thunderbird?

Mozilla Thunderbird is a free open source email and news client developed by Mozilla. Its version 1.0 was released on 7th December 2004 and it got incredible number of downloads in its first five days. This is what inspired Mozilla to do further research and development on it and make it available to all its worldwide users. Mozilla Thunderbird today comes in 52 languages which make it really special and important for non-English speaking nations. Today Mozilla Thunderbird gives head to head competition to its counterpart that is Microsoft Office Outlook.

Here is the tutorial to sync your blackberry phone with Thunderbird.

Step 1 : Choose an email client which is needed to be synced. If you still don’t have an email I advise you to use good email providers like google, yahoo, hotmail and rediffmail.

Step 2 : Create a dedicated Blackberry email address and a dedicated Thunderbird email address.

Step3:- Forward all emails that comes to your dedicated Blackberry and Thunderbird’s email address. All forward options can be clinched from “Settings” of your email provider.

Step 4 : Change Blackberry email address in such a way that your Blackberry email account is your “Reply To” address and set “Auto BCC” your dedicated Thunderbird account. This thing will keep the things synced.

Step 5 : Now setup Thunderbird on your computer/Mobile so that all email from the dedicated Thunderbird account comes to the Thunderbird Email Client.

Step 6 : Now set the “Reply To” address of the Thunderbird email address to your main email address. Do the same with your dedicated Blackberry email address.

Step 7 : Now all you need to do is to set/create a rule on Thunderbird that Mark any email from your email address as read and send it to “Send Items”. That’s it now you have successfully synced your Blackberry with Thunderbird.
