Dell Announces 10-inch Windows 7 Tablet
Dell has announced the launch of its 10 inch Windows 7 later in the year. The company aims for the tablet mainly for business users across various sectors like healthcare, education and finance.Another version based on Google’s Android Operating System, will also be launched with it.
At an event in San Francisco, Steve Lalla, head of business client division of Dell unveiled 39 new products across various categories and tastes. Lalla held the dummy tablet with a fake screen just for the illustration of the media. Some of the highlights of the tablet are an updated version of tablet Latitude XT3 along with several portable and desktop options. But the show stopper was Dell’s Business Tablet that made headlines at CES 2010.
World has been anxiously waiting for a tablet with Windows 7 mainly due to the enhanced security and other features. Dell is quick to reckon this fact and hopes that its windows 7 tablet will be popular amongst the IT professional and people alike.No official word on pricing and date has been issued by the company as yet.
